Hi! My name is Valentina Mazzeo García and I am an English <> Spanish sworn translator, professional registration no. 880 of the Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Provincia de Mendoza (Professional Association of Sworn Translators of the Province of Mendoza). Although I am a Spanish native speaker, I started learning English when I was tiny, thanks to my mum, an English teacher who shared with me her passion for the language. I have achieved level C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Language.
I was born and grew up surrounded by vineyards in Mendoza, which is one of the largest and most important wine regions in Argentina, and I come from a family of farmers, so I have been involved with the wine industry since I was a little girl. When I was just 21 years old, I graduated from the Instituto Cultural de Mendoza with a degree in translation studies and I am an English <> Spanish sworn translator. I hold a diploma in audiovisual translation from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and a postgraduate degree in legal and financial translation from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. As you may have noticed, I believe professional development is essential to keep improving and continue providing an excellent service.

“MAGA” is a combination of both of my surnames (Mazzeo and García). “Maga” also means female magician in Spanish, and I believe that we translators are magicians in our own way: our power lays in the power of words.
Fun fact: In Spanish, it also means “a female person who is particularly prepared to succeed in a certain activity”.
